Cant pull away fuel problem ?I need some advice before i spend loads of money , my beetle is a 1300 1974 standard lump and carb , i put some unleaded additive in the other day and its starting to have major fuel problems pulling away would it be the fuel pump cos when i take the filter off it seems its got loads of presure behind it ? i have done everything - taking the fuel tank off and draining all the fuel out
and seeing if this helps it only started to do it after i added this unleaded stuff now it cant pull away without slowing down and stopping if i put my foot down on the pedal to the floor to rev it up it slows and stalls !! i was going to take a fuel can and ad the fuel lead from the fuel tank and see it it runs better this way i think ill know if the fuel is stuffed it was a 3/4 quarter full tank when i added it , i also added stp fuel cleaner to help but still nothing ?
