Hi, I must be the ultimate newbie - don't even own a VW but am in the process of fulfilling a long held ambition of getting a bus. Probably a bay but depends on finding the right one !
Any hints and tips ? Any local garages that sell good condition vehicles ?
I'm tempted to go for a new Brazilian van from Danbury although it's not cheap and I'm not sure how the hard core might view these - are they acceptable ?? !!

Hi there,
The Danbury are a very nice van but obviously they do not hold the history or the look of the old T2 - and you have to pay road tax (bummer )
If you want any advice or a pre purchase check when buying a second hand one then give us a shout. There is a lot of s*** out there.
If you are local pop by our meet which is detailed on our website - you dont have to have a VW to join us - just the interest.
Hope to speak again soon.
